Healthy gut = balanced hormones = healthy skin
I am reading a lot about "hormonal imbalance" and I am also researching about ways on how I can prevent hormonal acne. Because recently, it was getting worse. "Worse" because, people noticed it already. I panicked. Never would I want to experience acne again. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
In my researches I have learned that there is really a food/zit connection. That, I also need to have a healthy gut. That's the key,
I realize that I need to cut down my sugar, carbs, caffeine, dairy intake. It helps that I am not too fond of cheese and milk BUT I love brewed coffee, butter and cream based food and sweets.... and sweets... and more sweets.... have I mentioned sweets?
All the stuff that I love to eat and to drink (coffeeeee), I must avoid? Yes, coffee triggers acne as stress does. I am avoiding both. Tea has caffeine but it's a healthier choice. I also try to get as much sleep as I can. I need 6-10 hours. I am taking Vitamin C again. So far, so good. We'll see when the red days kick in.
And soon, I hope to get back to running and yoga. Those really helped me in the past to lose weight. I just hope to find time again.
The cure asks for a complete overhaul of diet and lifestyle. Anything for healthy skin, I will do.
I can do this (100x). Repeat.
Here are some of the readings that I find helpful.
