Pinning and Piping

.
I don't know why but I had a difficult time doing what's deemed easy - the shirring or gather.  I am just glad after hours of trying, na-shir rin. Naki cooperate rin ang organdy.  Thank you very much for my teachers' help.

The inside is as important as the outside. Kailangan malinis talaga. So this is how couture houses clean it up.  Cool. I am thankful for my teachers and Sir Mark.  They were all helping us create our creations.  I am just one of the many students they are helping.  The amount of help they are giving is overwhelming.

Finishing touches

Tassels, which color to choose?  The tribal band was from Sir Mark. :)

Throw it...not. Until today I can't get over Sir Mark's idea, he suggested that I use the selvage of the fabic and use them as trimmings.  Among the beautiful suggestions he had given on this dress, this is my favorite.

Two words, I do

Make it work

During the checking of the dress the comment was, "She looks pregnant." and "It's a simple complicated dress." The bodice was the problem, the mannequin indeed looked pregnant, lol.  I noticed it too.  So Monday, I went to school we were trying to fix it.  In my mind, I was only thinking "Make it work, make it work, make it work.  It is going to beautiful, I know."

The Weave

After I finished it, I was ecstatic.  I couldn't believe I finished it.

Worth it :)

It is the yoke of dress I am making.
