I am happy nabuo rin kagabi ito.  I still need to attach the sleeves and hopefully the adhesive spray I have in mind will work on these pins so I can also start sewing the embellishments on the garment.

And I feel, the pins aren't enough but I hope to be given more time after the checking of our garments next Saturday.

50% done.  More things left to do so I have to be positive that I could finish this before Saturday of the following week.

I hope it turns out well.  The color here seems light blue but this is quite mint green.

I can do anythoing through Christ who gives me strength.

Prototype Revision

Here's the revised version and it'll be checked tomorrow.  I hope this is good to go.

Sewing at home has been an opportunity for me to practice my sewing machine.

 

Safety Pin Dress Prototype Revision

I am only hoping at this time that what I am doing is correct.  I am not using "katsa" so I keep my fingers crossed that they'll see the flares I added and that I finish this before Friday.

Safety pin shift dress prototype 1

I learned the importance of prototypes last year.

This is the part where flaws of the dress or of your creation are revealed.

They saw it past Saturday and it is for revision now.  I am excited how the dress evolves.  Good news is, Sir Mark has already chosen a swatch for the dress.

His choice was what I was hoping he'd choose. Yes! :)

I got more swatches for approval but I can't still find the vinyl fabrics I need.  Maybe I really need to go to Divi.  I wish to find the time to do that.

This deserves a special post. A picture with Sir Mark Higgins.  #raremoment

Every time I see him, I am inspired to work harder. I remember, every consultation with him I feel I can be a successful fashion designer someday because he treats you like you are. I am sure all of us feel the same. He just has it. Such such beautiful energy and generous spirit.  He's really inspiring, elegant, generous and kind and everyone knows this, he is ultra stylish!  Geez, I love his style!

We have learned a lot from him  - all of us who joined the exhibit.  I am grateful to be part of it.

Also, how could I forget the idea of "selvage" as a trim.  We just throw that and that alone, he taught me a valuable lesson - to be resourceful and creative with materials.

Other one was, "Do not be afraid of colors."  - my favorite among the many quotable quotes he said (oooops advices pala).    

I don't blog professionally, this is more of my diary but I hope he sees this someday.

Supportive friends and family

Thank you for coming. Not many came but the people I hoped to come did and that's more than enough. It means sooooooo much. :)

Despite their busy schedule, they came. :D

Kaysie came :) I am even happier. She keeps in touch and she's always a sweetheart.

I almost felt bad we didn't have picture with my work, but meron pala. She is a supportive friend to us. Actually, dapat kasali rin siya e.  Hopefully next year! :D

I LOVE us three. :D

Who knew? :) Natouch talaga ako for them coming to see our exhibit.
