50% done

I am happy nabuo rin kagabi ito.  I still need to attach the sleeves and hopefully the adhesive spray I have in mind will work on these pins so I can also start sewing the embellishments on the garment.

And I feel, the pins aren't enough but I hope to be given more time after the checking of our garments next Saturday.

Safety Pin Dress

50% done.  More things left to do so I have to be positive that I could finish this before Saturday of the following week.

I hope it turns out well.  The color here seems light blue but this is quite mint green.

I can do anythoing through Christ who gives me strength.

Prototype Revision... Approved!

It was my first time to really see it on the mannequin.  Because yesterday, when they checked it, I was beside it.  I really didn't know how it looked head to toe.  And seeing it today, I was happy with this prototype.  Thank God, they only asked for minor adjustments.  Ms. Lydia helped me contour the patterns and was just half-day at school to buy fabrics.  In the next two weeks, it's going to be hectic.  I need to start by Monday.

Two weeks to go!

Must complete 85% to 90% of the garment

Prototype Revision

Here's the revised version and it'll be checked tomorrow.  I hope this is good to go.

Sewing at home has been an opportunity for me to practice my sewing machine.

Safety Pin Dress Prototype Revision

I am only hoping at this time that what I am doing is correct.  I am not using "katsa" so I keep my fingers crossed that they'll see the flares I added and that I finish this before Friday.

Safety pin shift dress prototype 1

I learned the importance of prototypes last year.

This is the part where flaws of the dress or of your creation are revealed.

They saw it past Saturday and it is for revision now.  I am excited how the dress evolves.  Good news is, Sir Mark has already chosen a swatch for the dress.

His choice was what I was hoping he'd choose. Yes! :)

Simple Joys 13

  • New Year's Eve food.
  • From a conversation with James Chua he told me something about "timing."  Throughout the week, all I hear is "In God's time" almost everywhere.  I think this is the answer to my question at this time. Perhaps, I am losing focus.  I am just glad I went to work past Friday.
  • My Pricess Devotions book (The One Year reading)
I bought it in the 3rd quarter of 2014; now, I am reading it again starting at Day 1.
  • Auntie Aida and Tita Dodith visited for the New Year
  • Pasalubong Cake from Pampanga, it's white chocolate
  • Hot Molo Soup!
  • Pandesal and coffee
  • Sleep and the cold weather.
  • Flipped\
  • The Teacher's Diary
Funny and heartwarming at the same time. :)
  • Nobody Knows movie

When I first watched it, I thought it was too long almost dragging yet I couldn't forget it. I feel bad for those children.  The movie literally has made me not want to waste any more money and food at all.  And I watched it again last night, I understood it more and cried.  It's a beautiful movie, something not to be missed.
  • The Taste of Tea movie
The simplicity and quietness of this movie is what makes it so good.  It touches you.  As what the line in the movie says "It's more cool than weird."
