My father

I dreamed of him the other night.  Today is his fifth death anniversary and we miss him so much.  A friend told me that death is not a loss; it should be a celebration.  A celebration that one had lived a good life.  And, my father lived a good, fulfilled, happy, and generous life.

I know that all my dreams will come true because his dreams come true. He taught us to give and he taught us to be responsible.

One thing I love about him was he loved birds and plants; and that's something he taught me by showing me.  I have also learned to see the beauty of plants, of flowers, of nature, of surrounding, of birds because of him.  He fed them daily.  He nurtured them.

And these things, I only learned later on.

Right now, every time I am feeding the birds, appreciating nature, and loving these creations.  I know he's watching and he's happy I am doing what he used to do when he was living.

A quick errand in Makati this morning gave me an opportunity to take photographs of the streets. I Can't do this if it's crowded. 

I have never seen Makati like this before. Few cars and few people.

I call this the Rich Lane. I still wish to afford those high-end brands someday.

Saw people installing these this morning, it was pretty and playful.  I saw them putting bulbs inside, Must be lanterns for Christmas! :D

This deserves a special post. A picture with Sir Mark Higgins.  #raremoment

Every time I see him, I am inspired to work harder. I remember, every consultation with him I feel I can be a successful fashion designer someday because he treats you like you are. I am sure all of us feel the same. He just has it. Such such beautiful energy and generous spirit.  He's really inspiring, elegant, generous and kind and everyone knows this, he is ultra stylish!  Geez, I love his style!

We have learned a lot from him  - all of us who joined the exhibit.  I am grateful to be part of it.

Also, how could I forget the idea of "selvage" as a trim.  We just throw that and that alone, he taught me a valuable lesson - to be resourceful and creative with materials.

Other one was, "Do not be afraid of colors."  - my favorite among the many quotable quotes he said (oooops advices pala).    

I don't blog professionally, this is more of my diary but I hope he sees this someday.

Supportive friends and family

Thank you for coming. Not many came but the people I hoped to come did and that's more than enough. It means sooooooo much. :)

Kaysie came :) I am even happier. She keeps in touch and she's always a sweetheart.

I almost felt bad we didn't have picture with my work, but meron pala. She is a supportive friend to us. Actually, dapat kasali rin siya e.  Hopefully next year! :D
