Closer look on the detail
Handwoven bias cut orange and pink fabrics with a handmade peter pan collar adorned by fabrics' selvage and braided crochet threads. Around the yoke is fabrics' selvage, a tribal trim with corals, turquoise stones, wooden beads, shells and tassels.
A selvage (US English) or selvedge (British English) is a self-finished edge of fabric. The selvages keep the fabric from unraveling or fraying. The selvages are a result of how the fabric is created.
